%X ？Thediscretewavelettransformhasbecomeanattractivetoolforfusingmultisensorimages.Thispaperinvestigatesthediscretewaveletframetransform.Amajoradvantageofthismethodoverdiscretewavelettransformisaliasingfreeandtranslationinvariant.Thediscretewaveletframe(DWF)transformisusedtodecomposetheregisteredimagesintomultiscalerepresentationwiththelowfrequencyandthehighfrequencybands.Thelowfrequencybandisnormalizedandfusedbyusingtheexpectationmaximization(EM)algorithm.Theinformativeimportancemeasureisappliedtothehighfrequencyband.Thefinalfusedimageisobtainedbytakingtheinversetransformonthecompositecoefficientrepresentations.Experimentsshowthattheproposedmethodismoreeffectivethanconventionalimagefusionmethods.
