%X ？Thevariationofplantdead-timedeeplyaffectsthestabilityofthepredictivePIcontrolsystem.ItisimportantfordesigningandapplyingthePPIcontrollertocalculatethedelaymargin.AcriterionofstabilityforthePPIsystemandthequantitiverelationshipamongthedelaymargin,thetimeconstantoftheclosed-loopsystem,andthedead-timeofthemodelaregiven.Agraphicalgorithmtocomputethedelaymarginisalsodeveloped.Thephenomenonthatthereexistmorethanonestabilitydelayzonesisdiscussed.Thealgorithmisshowntobeprecisebysomesimulations.
