%X ？Asuccessiveapproximationapproachfordesigningoptimalcontrollersispresentedfordiscretelineartime-delaysystemswithaquadraticperformanceindex.Byusingthesuccessiveapproximationapproach,theoriginaloptimalcontrolproblemistransformedintoasequenceofnonhomogeneouslineartwo-pointboundaryvalue(TPBV)problemswithouttime-delayandtime-advanceterms.Theoptimalcontrollawobtainedconsistsofanaccuratefeedbacktermsandatime-delaycompensationtermwhichisthelimitofthesolutionsequenceoftheadjointequations.Byusingafinite-stepiterationofthetime-delaycompensationtermoftheoptimalsolutionsequence,asuboptimalcontrollawisobtained.Simulationexamplesareemployedtotestthevalidityoftheproposedapproach.
