%X ？Theoptimalcontrolproblemfornonlinearinterconnectedlarge-scaledynamicsystemsisconsidered.Asuccessiveapproximationapproachfordesigningtheoptimalcontrollerisproposedwithrespecttoquadraticperformanceindexes.Byusingtheapproach,thehighorder,coupling,nonlineartwo-pointboundaryvalue(TPBV)problemistransformedintoasequenceoflineardecouplingTPBVproblems.ItisproventhattheTPBVproblemsequenceuniformlyconvergestotheoptimalcontrolfornonlinearinterconnectedlarge-scalesystems.Asuboptimalcontrollawisobtainedbyusingafiniteiterativeresultoftheoptimalcontrolsequence.
