%X Applying a theorem due to Belopol'ski and Birman, we show that the Laplace-Beltrami operator on 1-forms on ${\bf R}^n$ endowed with an asymptotically Euclidean metric has absolutely continuous spectrum equal to $[0, +\infty)$.
