%X We describe an original pathway to produce new 5-substituted 3-methyl-6-nitro-benzoxazolones by the reaction of aromatic carbonyl and ¦Á-carbonyl ester derivatives with a benzoxazolinonic anion formed exclusively via the TDAE strategy.
