%X Dish name translation in literary texts is worth studying; it¡¯s different
from restaurant menu translation. This article differentiates the two translations
by Yang & Yang and Hawkes through studying on the translation of dish names
in <i>Hong Lou Meng </i>and puts forward three
principles and three suggestions from the linguistic level and cultural level, respectively.
