efficiency of a new prostatotropic medication tertapeptide lysil-glutamyl-aspartyl-proline
(Lys-Glu-Asp-Pro)</span><span class=\"apple-converted-space\" style=\"font-size:12px;font-family:Verdana;\">&nbsp;</span><span style=\"font-size:12px;font-family:Verdana;\">in treatment of
benign prostatic hyperplasia was performed in Wistar rats. The efficiency of
the medication was compared with that one of injections of the</span><span class=\"apple-converted-space\" style=\"font-size:12px;font-family:Verdana;\">&nbsp;</span><i><span style=\"font-size:12px;font-family:Verdana;\">Serenoa repens</span></i><span style=\"font-size:12px;font-family:Verdana;\">extract. The
investigation showed the statistically significant decrease in the square of
the epithelium of acini. The same effect of similar severity was obtained when
the</span><span class=\"apple-converted-space\" style=\"font-size:12px;font-family:Verdana;\">&nbsp;</span><i><span style=\"font-size:12px;font-family:Verdana;\">Serenoa repens</span></i><span class=\"apple-converted-space\" style=\"font-size:12px;font-family:Verdana;\">&nbsp;</span><span style=\"font-size:12px;font-family:Verdana;\">extract was applied. Tertapeptide
Lys-Glu-Asp-Pro, in difference from</span><span class=\"apple-converted-space\" style=\"font-size:12px;font-family:Verdana;\">&nbsp;</span><i><span style=\"font-size:12px;font-family:Verdana;\">Serenoa
repens</span></i><span class=\"apple-converted-space\" style=\"font-size:12px;font-family:Verdana;\">&nbsp;</span><span style=\"font-size:12px;font-family:Verdana;\">extract, also resulted
in weight loss and volume decrease of the prostate gland.</span></span>
