at starting the ball rolling and contributing humble effort to promot</span><span lang=\"EN-US\" style=\"font-family:Verdana;\">ing</span><span lang=\"EN-US\" style=\"font-family:Verdana;\"> traditional Chinese medicine, we
report one successful case of </span><span lang=\"EN-US\" style=\"font-family:Verdana;\">¡°</span><span lang=\"EN-US\" style=\"font-family:Verdana;\">GP</span><span lang=\"EN-US\" style=\"font-family:Verdana;\">¡±</span><span lang=\"EN-US\" style=\"font-family:Verdana;\"> regimen of
combining chemotherapy with traditional Chinese medicine decoction (</span><span lang=\"EN-US\" style=\"font-family:Verdana;\">¡°</span><span lang=\"EN-US\" style=\"font-family:Verdana;\">lung description</span><span lang=\"EN-US\" style=\"font-family:Verdana;\">¡±</span><span lang=\"EN-US\" style=\"font-family:Verdana;\">) for breast cancer with lung and bone
metastases.</span><span lang=\"EN-US\"> </span><b><span lang=\"EN-US\" style=\"font-family:Verdana;\">Patients and Methods:</span></b><span lang=\"EN-US\" style=\"font-family:Verdana;\"> A second-line chemotherapy regimen of
GP</span><span lang=\"EN-US\"> </span><span lang=\"EN-US\" style=\"font-family:Verdana;\">(cisplatin + gemcitabine)
was applied. In the meantime, we administered Chinese herbal medicine</span><span lang=\"EN-US\"> </span><span lang=\"EN-US\" style=\"font-family:Verdana;\">(Fei Decoction, mixed with a variety
of effective herbal components) to help her recover from the poor condition.</span><span lang=\"EN-US\"> </span><b><span lang=\"EN-US\" style=\"font-family:Verdana;\">Results:</span></b><span lang=\"EN-US\" style=\"font-family:Verdana;\"> The
tumor markers (CEA, CA15-3) had dramatically decreased to the normal range.
Both lung and bone metastatic sites reduced according to CT and ECT imaging,
and this patient felt free from the complaint of pulmonary and cardiac
discomfort.</span><span lang=\"EN-US\"> </span><span lang=\"EN-US\" style=\"font-family:Verdana;\">The
quality of life has been greatly improved, and the PFS
(Progression-Free-Survival) and TTP</span><span lang=\"EN-US\"> </span><span lang=\"EN-US\" style=\"font-family:Verdana;\">(Time-to-Progression) have been prolonged from the onset to date.</span><span lang=\"EN-US\"> </span><b><span lang=\"EN-US\" style=\"font-family:Verdana;\">Conclusions: </span></b><span lang=\"EN-US\" style=\"font-family:Verdana;\">In
the course of this combined treatment, it has been
