%X El presente art¨ªculo muestra una revisi¨®n y an¨¢lisis del fen¨®meno de la violencia. La violencia como fen¨®meno de estudio representa un desaf¨ªo para investigar, especialmente por el impacto que tiene en un grupo profesional feminizado como es el de enfermer¨ªa. Los factores de riesgo a que se ven sometidos dichos profesionales, as¨ª como estudiantes de enfermer¨ªa en el contexto hospitalario son innumerables, lo mismo que sus consecuencias, siendo de vital trascendencia sus efectos en el proceso de aprendizaje de estos ¨²ltimos, especialmente si consideramos que la formaci¨®n cl¨ªnica intra-hospitalaria constituye el nexo entre la teor¨ªa y su aplicaci¨®n, momento en el que el estudiante integra ambos aspectos This study presents a review and analysis of the violence phenomenon. Violence as a matter of study means a research challenge because of the impact it has on the female professional group as are the nurses. Professionals as well as students are exposed to a considerable number of risk factors and the same may be said about consequences of violence. The effects of violence are of vital importance in the learning process of prospective nurses, especially if we consider that the intrahospital clinical training constitutes the link between theory and its application, instant in which the student integrates both aspects
