%X En este trabajo se registran las especies vegetales involucradas en la alimentaci車n de un grupo humano actual, en este caso la poblaci車n del noroeste de La Pampa (Argentina) conformada por campesinos criollos descendientes de colonos inmigrantes. El tema se abord車 desde la perspectiva etnobiol車gica, destacando la presencia y el papel de las plantas accesibles en la zona. En tal sentido, se resaltan aspectos de inter谷s propios de la etnobot芍nica como son la nomenclatura vern芍cula de las especies, las comidas y bebidas t赤picas, las formas de apropiaci車n, dando cuenta en todos los casos del estado de persistencia de su empleo y los cambios sufridos hasta la actualidad. Se registr車 un total de 62 taxones vegetales que intervienen en la alimentaci車n de esta poblaci車n, informaci車n que constituye un novedoso aporte al conocimiento de la etnobot芍nica regional y de zonas 芍ridas americanas. This study documents the plants consumed by the modern inhabitants of the Northwestern area of La Pampa (Argentina), creole farmers descended from colonial immigrant. An ethnobiological approach is applied which highlights the presence and role of locally available plants. As such, the vernacular names of species, traditional meals and drinks, and forms of exploitation were recorded, examining the persistence of use and its changes through time. A total of 62 plant taxa associated with the diet of this population was recorded, contributing new knowledge of local ethnobotany and that of arid zones in the Americas.
