%X For the commemorations of the bicentennial of the death of the poet, Tom芍s Ant車nio Gonzaga (born in Porto in 1744 and died on the Island of Mozambique in 1810), the author analyses some of the poet＊s literary works in this study. Particular focus is given to his work Mar赤lia de Dirceu, his involvement, direct or indirect, in the Brazilian movement of the  Inconfid那ncia Mineira  (Minas Gerais Conspiracy), until his subsequent deportation to the Island of Mozambique.
