%X For fist time in Chile, the creation of a national innovation strategy for competitiveness lays the foundations for the development path our country should follow in the coming years. For its implementation, however, it is necessary to address some gaps previously identified. In terms of human capital, this article reviews the supply and demand for technical higher education and discusses its relevance in relation to productive development clusters noting the lack of coordination between both sectors and identifying some challenges.
