La plupart de ces objets d¡äart ont ¨¦t¨¦ restitu¨¦s en 1815. Jusqu¡¯¨¤ pr¨¦sent, on ignorait dans quelles mesures ces tableaux avaient ¨¦t¨¦ trait¨¦s par des restaurateurs parisiens. Cet article a pour but d¡ä¨¦tudier ces interventions fran aises en se reportant ¨¤ un groupe de tableaux de la collection actuelle du Kunsthistorisches Museum ¨¤ Vienne. In 1809, a multitude of paintings belonging to the Austrian imperial collection was seized in Belvedere Palace in Vienna and brought to the Parisian Mus¨¦e Napol¨¦on. Those artworks have mainly been returned in 1815. Up to now, it remained unclear to what extent these paintings had been subjected to restoration treatments while in France.
