%X Author analyzes the main stages of the generation and development of the scientific community of physicists in Siberia at the end of XIX ¨C the mid XX centuries. Particular attention is given to the relationship physicists TomskĄ¯s universities and research institutes with authority. Identified and analyzed the causes, course and results of the ideological and scientific campaigns had affected Tomsk physicists. Author consider the socio-political situation in the Tomsk scientific-educational complex, defined the role of party organizations of universities, research institutes, the city and region in the research and teaching activities of physicists
