%0 Journal Article %T On Love and Poetry¡ªOr, Where Philosophers Fear to Tread %A Jeremy Fernando %J continent. %D 2011 %I %X The role of poetry in the relationalities between people has a long history¡ªfrom epic poetry recounting tales of yore; to emotive lyric poetry; to rude, irreverent limericks; to Hallmark cards which have ditties that allow one to cringe, and somehow fall in love at the same moment. Without going into a notion of aesthetics, or attempting to choose which form of poetry is superior, we might want to consider why the form of poetry itself has long been a part of relationality.
