A similarity transformation is used to transform the governing partial differential equations into ordinary differential equations. The dimensionless self-similar equations are then solved numerically by using a standard fully implicit, iterative, tri-diagonal finite-difference method. Comparisons with previously published work on various special cases of the problem are performed and the results are found to be in excellent agreement. A parametric study of the physical parameters involved in the problem is conducted and a representative set of numerical results is illustrated graphically and in tabular form. %K Moving cylinder %K similarity solutions %K MHD %K suction/injection %K chemical reaction %K heat generation/absorption %U http://www.ispacs.com/journals/cna/2011/cna-00109/article.pdf
