%X We resign Alberto Rex Gonz¨¢lez pioneer works around hunter gatherers archaeology, between 1940 and 1950 decades, and discuss ongoing ideas and proposals. These began new perspectives and questions , setting the bases for a new age in argentine archaeology development, focusing on chronological sequences and cultural contexts definition. As an outcome of his researches in Sierras Centrales sites (Cordoba and San Luis Provinces) as Ayampitin, Ongamira shelter and Intihuasi Cave, he established a chronological cultural scheme which served as a reference for almost all the hunter gatherers studies made in our country, and which still continue in use.
