%X Ionic liquid l-butyl-3-methylimidazolium bromide ([bmim]Br) efficiently accelerates Michael addition of phthalimide and sulfonamides to ¦Á, -unsaturated esters inthe presence of K2C0(3) under microwave irradiation (MW) to afford W-alkyl derivatives of these compounds in high yields and short reaction times.
