Unlike for-profits, nonprofits address the issues of shapingsocial policies through innovative human life-changing approachesand moral contract with society. This research adopts a case study ofa change initiative in both organizational objectives and managementundertaken at a prominent NGO in Turkey. The study provides a differentpoint of view by extending the notion of nonprofit leaders with highquality of transformational leadership are those who can make strategicchanges tuned with organization¡¯s mission and objectives. It also revealsthat transformational leadership has a significant effect on the embracementof the mission and its accomplishments in voluntary and nonprofitorganizations and enables nonprofit sector managers to build a clear visionand mission for their organizations.
