%X The Noyori model of chiral amplification in the alkylation of aldehydes by means of dialkylzinc, catalyzed by chiral aminoalcohols, is further elaborated. A direct, but approximate, relation is obtained between the enantiomeric excess of the catalyst added and the enantiomeric excess of the product.
