%X John Searle sostiene que las instituciones sociales son s車lo posibles porque los humanos poseemos lenguaje, y que una vez que se crean las instituciones bajo una cierta f車rmula ling邦赤stica, aparecer芍n otras que ni siquiera los agentes ling邦赤sticos podr赤an prever. En este trabajo se pone bajo escrutinio esta explicaci車n de la estructuraci車n de las instituciones sociales, analizando el rol que le otorga el autor a la intencionalidad individual, a la intencionalidad colectiva y a las reglas constitutivas y regulativas. El resultado de la discusi車n arroja que el autor no alcanza a ver que hay instituciones sociales que no requieren lenguaje, por lo que sobreestima el poder del mismo, y que no incorpora con toda claridad la funci車n que ocupa el comportamiento cooperativo en la aceptaci車n colectiva de reglas constitutivas y regulativas. John Searle maintains that social institutions are only possible because humans have language, and once the social institutions are created by means of a certain linguistic logic form, other institutions will appear without the awareness of the language users. In this paper this explanation of the organization of social institutions will be under scrutiny, analyzing the role that the author gives to individual intentionality, to collective intentionality and to the constitutive and regulative rules. The result of the discussion shows that the author does not see that there are institutions that are not created by language, overestimating the power of language, and that he does not incorporate with clarity the function of cooperative behaviour in the collective acceptance of constitutive and regulative rules.
