%X O artigo apresenta uma an¨¢lise cr¨ªtica das justifi cativas para implanta  o e expans o dos servi os p¨²blicos oferecidos pela Internet, o chamado ¡°Governo Eletr nico¡± (e-Gov). Discute temas atuais como cidadania virtual e inclus o digital, confrontando-os com as diretrizes do e-Gov e indicadores publicados pelo Comit¨º Gestor da Internet no Brasil (CGI). As discuss es desenvolvidas t¨ºm como base as teses de Guy Debord, que estimulam a vis o cr¨ªtica do processo de espetaculariza  o da cidadania. Palavras-chave: Cidadania. Servi o p¨²blico. The study presents a critical analysis on the justification for the implementing and expanding public services offered on the Internet, the so-called ¡°Electronic Government¡± (e-Gov). It shows current subjects such as the virtual citizenship and the digital inclusion program, and puts them in confront to the e-Gov directives and the indicators issued by the Brazilian Internet Steering Committee Group (CGI). The discussions are based on the Guy Debord¡¯s theses, which enhance the critical view of Society of the Spectacle process of the citizenship. Keywords: Citizenship. Public service.
