O artigo discute quais, onde e como as diferentes esp¨¦cies foram mais intensamente cultivadas. Quatro regi es foram examinadas: Norte, Centro, Sul e Leste (prov¨ªncia de Cuyo, Argentina). Vinte esp¨¦cies foram investigadas nessas localidades: pomo (ma , p¨ºra e marmelo), frutas com caro o (p¨ºssego, damasco, ameixa, cereja azeda, e cereja doce), nozes (nogueira, am¨ºndoa, e castanha), c¨ªtricos (laranja, lim o, cidra, e lima), e outros tais como, azeitona, figo, maracuj¨¢, l¨²cuma e cherim¨®ia. Com base nos arquivos judiciais e nos invent¨¢rios de seus bens e cartoriais foi elaborado de um banco de dados com mais de 190 mil esp¨¦cies de frutas. Posteriormente foi elaborado o mapeamento geogr¨¢fico destas esp¨¦cies. Different from other regions of the Spanish Empire, the kingdom of Chile developed an intensive agriculture that included fruit production. The article discusses which, where, and how intense different species were cultivated. Four main regions were examined: North, Center, South and East (Argentina¡¯s Cuyo province). Twenty species were investigated in these jurisdictions: pomes (apple, pear, and quince), stone fruit (peach, apricot,plum, tart cherry, and sweet cherry), nuts (walnut, almond, and chestnut), citrus (orange, lemon, citron, and lime), and others such as olive, fig, passion fruit, lucuma, and cherimoya. A database with more than 190,000 fruit species were elaborated from goods inventories and other notary and judges archives.
