%X This paper refers to communication phenomena in a network society, where one of the distinctive features of journalism is the role of readers and sources as co-producers of news content. In this paper, we discuss speci cally the new relations established between journalists and news sources, including the traditional sources ¨C institutional and individual actors that have great visibility ¨C as well as new spaces that aren¡¯t journalistic, but show up as sources to newsrooms or that interact directly with the readers. Methodologically, it is an article of theoretical and analytical framework, developed from literature review, with emphasis on empirical researchs that provide inferences for a better understanding of the phenomenon.
