%X El art¨ªculo presenta los resultados alcanzados en una investigaci¨®n encaminada a determinar un modelo pedag¨®gico, sustentado sobre bases te¨®ricas y cient¨ªficas contempor¨¢neas, que contribuya desde lo acad¨¦mico al desarrollo del valor responsabilidad profesional en estudiantes universitarios de Ciencias e Ingenier¨ªa. Este modelo ha sido aplicado exitosamente en asignaturas y disciplinas que se imparten en la Universidad Austral de Chile y en el Instituto Superior Polit¨¦cnico Jos¨¦ Antonio Echeverr¨ªa de Cuba y por su car¨¢cter generalizador es posible aplicarlo en otras especialidades universitarias, siempre y cuando se adec¨²e a las caracter¨ªsticas particulares de las diferentes ¨¢reas del saber The paper presents the results of an investigation carried out to determine a pedagogic model, supported on contemporary theoretical and scientific bases that contribute to the development of the value professional responsibility in university students of Sciences and Engineering. This model has been applied successfully in subjects and disciplines taught in the Universidad Austral de Chile and in the Instituto Superior Polit¨¦cnico Jos¨¦ Antonio Echeverr¨ªa from Cuba. Because of its generalizing character it is possible to apply it in other university areas, provided it is adapted to the peculiar characteristics of the different areas of t knowledge
