%X This article discuss about ¡°Local Histories¡± production, taking asa base cultural projects promoted by the municipal public powers; it studies the ¡°Santa Helena History Project¡± which leaded to the construction of a hegemonic memory in the municipal public sphere, which elected, recently, a specific version of the past as ¡°the¡± history of the place, putting away other possibilities to understand the localpast.
