%X Se reporta por primera vez la presencia de Eragrostis paniciformis en Venezuela. Las muestras testigo provenientes del estado M¨¦rida constituyen el segundo informe de la especie para Sudam¨¦rica, despu¨¦s de Brasil. La especie muestra comportamiento arvense, creciendo en lugares intervenidos expuestos al sol. El tax¨®n es semejante a E. mokensis y E. unioloides, puede confundirse con Briza minor, Poa y Uniola, diferenci¨˘ndose de las especies de Eragrostis por tener un par de alas con ¨˘pice agudo en las p¨˘leas, y de las tres ¨˛ltimas por tener lemmas trinervadas. Eragrostis paniciformis is reported for the first time in Venezuela. The voucher specimens from M¨¦rida state constitute the second record of the species for South America, after Brasil. The species shows weedy behavior, growing in perturbed, sun exposed areas. The taxon presents resembles with E. mokensis and E. unioloides, and could be confused with Briza minor, Uniola and Poa, but can be differentiated from the both Eragrostis by its winged palea with a pair of acute projections, and from the latter three by its trinervate lemmas.
