%X This paper presents a study about the emergence of the age-group social identity through documentation collected from inquiries of the Linguistic Atlas Project of Brazil (ALiB Project). One takes into consideration the identity linguistic approaches, mainly regarding age-group social identity. Considering language as a discursive practice that builds social identity representations, the empirical analysis is based of the ALiB Project, with the aim of verifying the tendencies of the informers to mark their speech temporally. Starting from the analysis performed, one could observe that the linguistic resources found in the interviews show that the age-group identity depends basically on the time category, because it acts in this kind of language as an organizing element in the elaboration of the speech, clearly shown in two poles ¨C the before and the now ¨C aiming at the desired appositions between past and present, typical of speeches belonging to an older age-group. Este trabalho apresenta um estudo sobre a emerg¨ºncia de identidade social de faixa et¨¢ria atrav¨¦s da an¨¢lise de inqu¨¦ritos do Projeto Atlas Lingu¨ªstico do Brasil (Projeto ALiB). Apresentam-se considera  es sobre as abordagens lingu¨ªsticas da identidade, em especial, sobre a identidade social de faixa et¨¢ria, considerando a linguagem enquanto pr¨¢tica discursiva que constr¨®i representa  es de identidade social. A an¨¢lise emp¨ªrica tem por base esses dados com o intuito de verificar as tend¨ºncias dos informantes de marcar temporalmente seu discurso. A partir da an¨¢lise realizada, observou-se que os recursos lingu¨ªsticos encontrados nas entrevistas demonstram que a identidade de faixa et¨¢ria depende basicamente da categoria tempo, pois esta atua nessa linguagem como elemento ordenador na elabora  o do discurso, manifestando-se em dois p¨®los ¨C o antes e o agora ¨C visando ¨¤s aposi  es desejadas entre passado e presente t¨ªpico dos discursos pertencentes a uma faixa et¨¢ria mais avan ada.
