Clinical presentation, cerebrospinal fluid, and magnetic resonance imaging result of the patient were consistent with acute encephalopathy associated with H1N1 infection. Polymerase chain reaction performed on nasopharyngeal swab was positive for pandemic influenza A (H1N1).
