%X The purpose of this paper is to analyze the constuction and practice of homoerotic desire in a sample of Hispanic men who had sex with men (MSM). The interviews were carried out as part of a larger project on masculine and sexual identities. Among the themes discussed here are the relationships between desire and individual sexual subjectivities, the quest for pleasure, and the transgressions of the dominant heterosexuality. Also analyzed are the centrality of anal sex in homoerotic relationships and the meanings of penetration, and the dualism penetrator/penetrated among men who have sex with men.
