%X El concepto de autonom¨ªa en el que se ha basado tradicionalmente la Bio¨¦tica proviene de la teor¨ªa liberal, y se articula a partir de un sujeto te¨®rico que poco tiene que ver con las personas. Por ello, en este art¨ªculo se plantea la necesidad de revisar y reformular el concepto de autonom¨ªa para la Bio¨¦tica.  Hay alternativas al modelo liberal de autonom¨ªa tan extendido en nuestras sociedades? Se propone la noci¨®n de autonom¨ªa relacional como t¨¦rmino que recoge ese entramado de relaciones y v¨ªnculos que posibilitan la libertad y la toma de decisiones propia, y que se adecua de manera m¨¢s fiel a la realidad social en la que nos encontramos. Por un lado, la autonom¨ªa relacional pretende reflejar la red de relaciones que es constitutiva de la persona. Por otro, se desarrolla como concepto que da cuenta de la co-responsabilidad tanto del profesional como del ciudadano a la hora de que sea el paciente quien tome decisiones aut¨®nomasAbstract: The autonomy concept on which the Bioethics has been based traditionally comes from the liberal theory, and it articulates from a theoretical subject that little it has to do with the people. For this reason, in this article is exposed the necessity of reviewing and formulating the concept of autonomy for the Bioethics. Are there alternatives to the liberal model of autonomy so extended in our societies? It¡äs proposed the notion of relational autonomy like a term that gathers that framework of relations and bonds that make possible the freedom and the own decision making, and this is adapted more faithfully to the social reality in which we were. On the one hand, the relational autonomy tries to reflect the network of relations that is constituent of the person. On the other, it is developed like concept that gives account of the Co-responsibility of the professional and the citizen at the time of which the patient who makes independent decisions.
