%X No presente artigo realizou-se uma an¨¢lise integrada da bacia hidrogr¨¢fica do rio Atibaia. Foi feito diagn¨®stico ambiental da ¨¢rea de estudo. Aplicou-se a metodologia desenvolvida pela Organisation for Economic Co-Operation and Development, em 2003, associada ¨¤quela aprimorada por Tricart e adaptada por Ross (1994). Foram selecionados 33 indicadores ambientais que permitiram as representa  es f¨ªsica e espacial da bacia e subsidiaram a elabora  o de cen¨¢rios. Foram elaborados tr¨ºs deles para a bacia hidrogr¨¢fica do rio Atibaia, denominados tendencial, manejo e conserva  o. Avaliaram-se as potencialidades e fragilidades da bacia, o que gerou resultados que permitiram nortear a gest o adequada dos recursos h¨ªdricos e a conserva  o ambiental. Conclui-se que, no cen¨¢rio conserva  o, foram observadas as melhores condi  es para ocorrer a restaura  o da qualidade ambiental da bacia. This paper presents an integrated analysis of the Atibaia river basin. An environmental diagnosis was performed in the study area. It was applied the methodology developed by the Organisation for Economic Co-Operation and Development, in 2003, coupled to that done by Tricart and adapted by Ross (1994). We selected 33 environmental indicators which allowed physical and spatial representations of the basin and supported the development of scenarios. Three of them were developed for the Atibaia river basin, called trend, management, and conservation. We evaluated the strengths and weaknesses of the basin, which generated results that allowed to manage water resources and environmental conservation. The main conclusion is that, in the conservationscenario, best conditions to restore the environmental quality of the basin were observed.
