Each component of absorption-based refrigeration systems was studied using astructured computational program for three specific operating regimens, modelling the real conditions oftemperature and thermal load of all components, as well as their thermal capacities. The absorber componentwas projected following the Tinker method for heat exchangers, using the Wilke correlation. Based on theirgood refrigeration capacity and low operating cost results when compared to the vapor compression systems,the absorption-based refrigeration systems could be an alternative and financial viable method. %K Refrigeration %K absorption %K ammonia %K structure simulation %U http://www.uff.br/engevista/seer/index.php/engevista/article/view/255/186
