%T The Unanswered Question of Official Statistics: What do Student with Learning Dissabilities do after Sschool? Results of a Regional Disposition Study

%X Within the research project BEWEMAKO it has been focused on the most frequent occupations and their professional progress of 519 adolescents, who belonged in former times to the group of students with learning dissabilities (01/01/09: 17;7 years) in the northeast of Baden-Wuerttemberg. The cross-sectional study circumscribes in the timeframe from July 2008 until February 2009 statuses in the transition from school to occupation on 1st and 2nd threshold. The trial which was representative for 'sex' and 'nationality' proved that about 75% of all interviewees received and graduated from not dual vocational trainings and about half of theme were trained according to regulations of specific vocational training for people with special needs (¡ì 66 BBiG; ¡ì 42m HwO). Six months after finishing training 47,6 % of all trainees were occupied in their gainful employment. Most frequently learned and unlearned gainful employments were overall limited to six occupations, among the female interviewees to three ones. The gainfully employed people had their occupation to 64,1% in the field of 'service', 'manufacturing' or 'transport & logistics'.
