Based on these data it was examined if there is an increased need of fostering the motor abilities together with an existing need of cognitive and social-emotional support. The results confirm the supposed need of motor fostering for the majority of the disadvantaged apprentices.Compared with the apprentices in a normal professional training, the deficits of the disadvantaged young people in motor abilities are as high as their intellectual backlogs. For this reason a programme for motor fostering should be developed and evaluated within the support framework for disadvantaged apprentices. %K disadvantaged adolescents %K professional training %K motor skills %K motor development %U http://www.psychologie-aktuell.com/fileadmin/download/esp/2-2009/schwede-griephan.pdf
