%0 Journal Article %T The Effect of Short Story Reading through Constructivist Activities on the Language Development of Primary School Students %A Dr. R£¿dvan TUN£¿EL %J Journal of International Social Research %D 2009 %I Journal of International Social Research %X Two basic educational orientations have become popular: teacher-centered ¡°instructionism¡±, and student-centered ¡°constructivism¡±. Within the framework of constructivist view, learners are encouraged to create and build knowledge. This research aims at providing some possibilities towards improving learners¡¯ first language development through presenting some student-centered activities.
