%X In children¡¯s games, every child wants to have an active role in the games which he or she is included in. However, most of the time it is not enough to have a desire for taking an active role, and the roles are given out by means of a process of selection. As the nearly unchanging basic player of traditional Turkish Children¡¯s games ¡°it¡± is the player who has sometimes an active role and sometimes passive, it is the role sometimes wanted to be taken; but sometimes it turns out to be the unwanted one. In this study, it has been tried to explain through examples what kind of a player ¡°IT¡± is.
