Coating is a logical method for protection of C/C composites against oxidation at high temperature. The research status of several oxidation resistant coatings, including glass, metal, ceramic and composite coatings are reviewed. Development of the traditional preparation technologies and exploitation of new methods for the preparation of oxidation resistant coatings are introduced.
