%X Non-steroidal anti-infl ammatory drugs are the most frequentlyprescribed medications worldwide. In the United States, around 17million people use daily these drugs, because many of them canbe bought as over the counter medication, and approximately 60million prescriptions are made yearly. The majority of users are oldpeople. These drugs have shown to be effective for symptomaticinfl ammatory pain relief whether acute or chronic, mainly in muscularskeletal pain syndromes.
