%X O presente texto procura discutir o legado deixado pelo soci車logo franc那s Pierre Bourdieu. Dez anos ap車s sua morte, tem-se discutido, em n赤vel internacional, a relevancia deste autor, um dos mais influentes e citados te車ricos do mundo. Para a identifica  o desta influ那ncia no Brasil, mais especificamente no campo educacional brasileiro, pesquisou-se nas teses e disserta  es encontradas no banco de dados da CAPES, que referenciavam Bourdieu, de que forma estaria se dando a apropria  o de seu quadro te車rico de an芍lise para constru  o de conhecimento no referido campo. Concluiu-se que o n迆mero de produ  es defendidas nos Programas de P車s-Gradua  o em Educa  o no Brasil, de 1965 a 2010, cresce de forma exponencial, demonstrando o qu o prof赤cua a utiliza  o da teoria sociol車gica de Bourdieu tem se mostrado para explicar a realidade da Educa  o no Brasil na contemporaneidade. Encerra-se o artigo com uma reflex o sobre a considera  o do status de Bourdieu como um cl芍ssico da Sociologia que, paradoxalmente, se mostra mais atual e vivo do que qualquer outro autor quando se trata de aplicar seu princ赤pio maior, a saber, analisar o mundo social e suas l車gicas, desvelando as formas de domina  o e as mis谷rias sociais. This paper's intent is to discuss the legacy left by the French sociologist Pierre Bourdieu. Ten years after his death, it has been discussed at an international level the relevance of this author, one of the most cited and influential theorists in the world. To identify such influence in Brazil, more specifically in the Brazilian educational field, we investigated theses and dissertations found in CAPES database, which referenced Bourdieu, to identify how those works use his theoretical framework of analysis for construction of knowledge in that field. It was concluded that the number of productions held in post-graduate programs in education in Brazil, from 1965 to 2010, grows exponentially, demonstrating how useful the use of Bourdieu's sociological theory has been to explain the reality of education in Brazil nowadays. We conclude the article with a comment on the consideration of Bourdieu's status as a classic of sociology which, paradoxically, is more current and alive than any other author when it comes to applying your larger principle, namely, the analysis of the social world and its logical, unveiling the forms of domination and social misery.
