%X Un objetivo de primer orden en todos los a os de Revoluci車n Socialista ha sido lograr en los graduados universitarios la formaci車n integral de un profesional revolucionario. Los cambios operados en la situaci車n internacional despu谷s del derrumbe del campo socialista y la desaparici車n de la URSS as赤 como el incremento de la agresividad econ車mica e ideol車gica del gobierno de Estados Unidos y el inicio del per赤odo especial, han conllevado cambios econ車micos y sociales en Cuba que entraron en contradicci車n con principios de la sociedad socialista, lo que ha repercutido en p谷rdida de valores y ha tenido una influencia marcada sobre profesores y estudiantes universitarios. Esta situaci車n propici車 que se decidiera desarrollar en las universidades cubanas un enfoque integral de la labor educativa y pol赤tico-ideol車gica con los estudiantes. El proyecto se propuso, mediante la definici車n de los objetivos educativos e instructivos, formar y desarrollar en los estudiantes, valores que determinan la calidad de un revolucionario cubano de estos tiempos y la excelencia acad谷mica. La aplicaci車n de este proyecto comprendi車 las dimensiones: curricular, de extensi車n universitaria y sociopol赤tica. A priority objective of the Socialist Revolution during all these years has been to attain among the university graduates the comprehensive education of a revolutionary professional. The changes occurred in the international arena after the collapse of the socialist field and the disappearance of the Soviet Union, as well as the increase of the economic and ideological aggressiveness of the US government and the beginning of the special period, have led to economic and social changes in Cuba that are in contradiction with the principles of the socialist society. This has brought about a loss of values and has had a marked influence on university professors and students. As a result of this situation, it was decided to develop a comprehensive approach of the educative, political and ideological work with the students. By defining the educative and instructive objectives, the project was aimed at developing among the students values that determined the quality of a Cuban revolutionary at present and the academic excellence. The application of this project comprised the curricular dimensions of university and sociopolitical scope.
