%X Se realiz車 el an芍lisis cualitativo y cuantitativo del zooplancton costero y oce芍nico del Pac赤fico colombiano para caracterizar la composici車n de la comunidad. La abundancia de zooplancton estuvo entre 7.900 y 100.500 ind﹞100 m-3. Se identificaron 26 grupos taxon車micos, siendo los cop谷podos los m芍s abundantes, seguidos de los quetognatos. No se detectaron diferencias significativas en la abundancia de zooplancton entre la zona costera y oce芍nica. Similar patr車n se observ車 entre las colectas diurnas y nocturnas. La ausencia de diferencias en la abundancia, tanto espacial (costa-oc谷ano) como temporalmente (circadiano), probablemente son el resultado del efecto del tipo de muestreo realizado (arrastre superficial), el cual no permiti車 visualizar adecuadamente el patr車n general de migraci車n vertical de los organismos zooplanct車nicos A qualitative and quantitative analysis of coastal and oceanic zooplankton in the Colombian Pacific was carried out in order to characterize the composition of this community. Zooplankton abundance was between 7,900 and 100,500 ind﹞100 m-3. A total of 26 taxonomic groups were identified, with copepods being the most abundant, followed by chaetognaths. No significant differences were detected between zooplankton abundance in coastal and oceanic zones. Similar patterns were observed for diurnal and nocturnal samplings. The lack of spatial (coastal-oceanic) and temporal (circadian) differences in abundance is probably a result of the type of sampling carried out (surface trawling), which did not allow adequate visualization of the general vertical migration pattern of the zooplanktonic organisms
