It was carried out with 196 pre-service teachers who completed an undergraduate programme for elementary mathematics teacher education. The study employed case study as a qualitative research method. A five-point Likert-type scale of 24 items was used as the data collection instrument. Furthermore, interviews were held with 32 pre-service teachers. The results revealed that the pre-service teachers did not sufficiently use the course equipment required for teaching mathematics during their pre-service period. The pre-service teachers stated that they would compensate for their inadequacy during their in-service period. 2013 IOJES.
