%X The mobilization of hematopoietic stem- and progenitor cells (HPCs) from adult-related and unrelated HLAmatched donors for allogeneic stem cell transplantation requires the administration of the granulocyte-colony stimulating factor (G-CSF) given as subcutaneous (sc) injection twice daily for 4-6 days. It usually results in the harvest of sufficient numbers of CD34+ cells, but in the majority of donors the administration of G-CSF is accompanied by several side effects such as: bone pain 70-86%; headache 40%, myalgias 36%; fatigue 20%; nausea/vomiting 10%, fever 3%...
