The article provides a general overview of RFID technology.The author then presents findings on its use in jewelry retailing to date by innovative companies aroundthe world. The research establishes that RFID-based inventory tracking is exceptionally well-suited to thejewelry industry due a variety of factors, including the values, origins, sizes and form factors of jewelryitems.
