Grid resources are heterogeneous, geographically distributedand belong to different administrative domains. Hence security is a majorconcern in a grid system. Authentication, message integrity andconfidentiality are the major concerns in grid security. Our proposed approachuses a authentication protocol in order to improve the authentication servicein grid environment. Secure group communication is brought about byeffective key distribution to authenticated users of the channels serviced byresources. The proposed approach facilitates reduced computation andefficient group communication. It also ensures efficient rekeying for eachcommunication session. The security protocol has been implemented andtested using Globus middleware. %K authentication %K grid computing %K grid security %K multicasting %K encryption %U http://www.cscjournals.org/csc/manuscript/Journals/IJS/volume4/Issue1/IJS-41.pdf
