%X The objective of our work was to over express GST protein, from PGEX 3X in the BL21 strain of Escherichia coli. The GST protein was induced with 0.1mM of IPTG. Under induction condition PGEX 3X provides the ability to produce high level expression of fusion proteins. The expressed GST protein was purified through glutathione sepharose affinity resin as ten fractions. IPTG mediated GST induction was assayed with CDNB. Immunoblot analysis with anti-GST HRP conjugates shows functional expression of GST in the bacterial system.
