%X Managing waste tires is an important challenge considering both environment protection and economy. Recovery and recycling of waste tires is well resolved in Hungary. The last years the recovery decreased therefore the amount of recycled tires decreased as well. There are many ways of recycling: retread the worn-out tread, energy recovery, material recycling and creating new products. In this paper we examined ways of recycling waste tires emphasizing pros and cons of different methods.
