%X Cynodon dactylon (L.) Pers. (Family- Poaceae), a perennial weedy grass is one of the ten auspicious herbs that constitute the group ¡®Dasapushpam¡¯ in Ayurveda. The species possesses immense therapeutic as well as other potential uses. As the species grow widely as weed, it is a natural resource which can be explored. An overview is conducted on C. dactylon with an objective to provide information on the essential aspects for further exploration in human benefits.
